Suggestions for follower.subscription notifications on twitch

Post by Chewy » Sun Sep 03, 2017 11:27 am

I've finally made my ApmedUpGaming twitch account to stream on, but need some advice.

I need some cool or funny gifs and tones for when people follow or subscribe. Something relevant to the crew and what we're about.

Was hoping for some suggestions from y'all?

The twitch account is AmpedUpGamingChewy if anyone is interested.

Oh wow, you're going all out!! Can't wait to see it. I've never thought of any of that stuff but I'll keep it in mind and get back to you if I come up with anything.

If you haven't already, you guys should download the Twitch app and watch some streams. The IRL section is quite amusing.

@Mzerin, From my understanding, Chewy has installed a capture card on his PC and is running the Playstation directly through the PC. As far as I know, streaming on a PC gives you a lot more options to customise your channel and interact with your viewers. On the playstation, you only get a limited amount of customisation options. I could be wrong as I haven't fully explored Twitchs streaming options but yeah. You should still set up a Twitch or YouTube streaming account and see how it goes.

As for different things when people follow, you should customise it how you want and put your own spin on it. Hell, you could even do a little dance haha :p Some suggestions are a lighting bolt zapping and/or have text saying that "XXXXX is getting Amped UP" with some sparks flying around it. A lot of streamers will have a Sub goal, latest subscriber, biggest donation etc all displayed on the screen. Some people also display subscriber/contributor comments on the screen and prioritise interacting with them. A few streamers will also "play with subs" so if you subscribe and watch the channel, then you can play with other fans which could also be a good way of recruiting. A lot of these should be implemented down the track and for now you should focus on making content and being entertaining to watch to build up your viewers.

I've been watching a lot of streams lately and I think the biggest thing is interacting with your spectators so find a way to encourage them to talk on your channel and make sure you respond either through voice or text chat.

Here's a screenshot of what I have so far with the follow alert.

Still trying to get some good sounds though.

I have everything right to go now so if we have a session this weekend I can stream through this channel.
